FAKE TITLES AND COUNTERFEITS
All the major legal principles that promote genuine and authentic nobility, royalty and chivalry are contained in the following new two volume book. Note what is says in the first paragraph of the Foreword:
The whole field of nobility and royalty is in disarray and confusion. It is rife with falsehoods, misguided experts, phony princes, and counterfeit chivalric orders. Besides the numerous scams and charlatans that exist, there is a widespread misunderstanding of the international and natural laws that govern dynastic rights. This is a field that is truly divided. This sad state of affairs need not continue. If international law is honored, revered and respected, then everything can be set in its proper order. The grand key to this needed unity is the rule of the just, time-honored laws that already exist.
The author is Dr. Stephen Baca y Kerr, JD, LLM, MAT, former special counsel to the Imperial and Royal House of Habsburg, Professor and Dean of the Law School at the International College of Interdisciplinary Studies. His book is The Entitlement to Rule: Legal, Non-Territorial Sovereignty in International Law and it is a masterpiece. Note excerpts of what people have said about it:
"It is written in a clear and compelling manner. It is hoped that more and more people will become familiar with the laws of justice contained in this book." (Thubten Samphel, director of the Tibet Policy Institute of the Central Tibetan Administration and author of the book Falling Through the Roof, Dharamshala, India)
"It is magnificently done and of great worth." (Adalberto J. Urbina Briceno, Sc.D., Professor Head of the Public International Law Chair of the Catholic University Andres Bello- Caracas)
"It is a goldmine of references and is a valuable account of a [thought provoking] . . . and poorly understood area of law." (Rev'd Professor Noel Cox, LLM, MA, MTheol, Ph.D., LTh, FRHists, Barrister, Aberystwyth University, New Zealand)
"Dr. Kerr has put together a book that is a "one of a kind" providing what is needed to perpetuate the rights of deposed sovereignty. For all those interested in the legal future of nobility and royalty, this is a very important, scholarly and insightful book to read." (LaWanna Blount, Ph.D., F.Coll.T, vice president and professor at the American College of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Como, Mississippi, USA)
"Dr. Kerr's book . . . is one of those . . . path breaking works that throws new light on a field of study . . . on the complex legal and philosophical sinews that keep alive [deposed] monarchies. . . . This type of writing fills a huge gap within the royal studies field. . . ." (Dr. Diana Mandache, historian and author, Budapest, Romania)
"The author obviously has a deep understanding of international law and how it relates to deposed monarchies and exiled governments. The content is well structured and well written. I accept this book as conforming to the highest academic standards expected of a master scholar and practitioner." (Alexander Arapov, Sc.D., Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology of the All-Russian State Distance-Learning Institute of Finance and Economics, a branch of the Financial University of the Russian Federation)
"This has been the most interesting and helpful book I have read in the field of nobiliary law as well as international law . . . . It exemplifies the highest level of scholarly content, clarity and depth of inquiry yet presented on this profound and important subject." (Prof. Dr. Mirjana Radovic-Markovic, Academician, Institute of Economic Sciences and Faculty of Business Economics and Entrepreneurship, Belgrade, Serbia)

Imitations or Counterfeits of What is Real, and therefore Cannot never be Certified as Genuine or Authentic.
Note the following important points:
(1) Authenticity:
No one can just assume a title of nobility, imperial or otherwise, merely because it is vacant, or no one is presently using it. If a man were to declare to the world that he is the true Davidic Prince of Israel or rightful King of Assyria, would that make it real? Such self-styled, self-assuming individuals are imposters or counterfeiters.
It might help to remember that only a true sovereign, regnant or de jure, can create, restore or rehabilitate a title, or bestow upon a person a real and true knighthood. But such an genuine reigning or deposed monarch cannot make authentic a title or knighthood from outside of their sovereign authority and jurisdiction. Many make this mistake. They think that if a de jure sovereign from Portugal or Rwanda can make bonafide a spurious title. The point is,all honors must spring from a genuine, authentic source or fountain of honor, otherwise it must be rejected as worthless pretense. (See " DEPOSED SOVEREIGNTY AND ROYALTY: how to preserve it and how to lose it" at http://www.nobility-royalty.org/the_sovereign_rights_of_deposed_kings__monarchs_and_sovereign_princes.htm)
(2) Genealogy:
The selling of so-called royal lines or noble pedigrees by unscrupulous genealogists that have no documentation for their claims immediately raises a red flag. People who do this are usually charlatans and the ancestral lines they sell are nothing more than fantasy cake. The purchase of such deceptions will only bring ultimate disappointment unless it has some basis in fact or actual evidence to back it up.
In addition, the law, not genealogy, confers rights, honors and distinctions. Genealogy, for many, merely reveals one has illustrious ancestors, but nothing more.
(3) Proof:
Any claim of validity whether it be for illustrious ancestors, noble or royal status, knighthood or some other title of high honor that is unsupportable, obviously, cannot be acknowledged as authentic or accurate. One of the fathers of international law, Emerich de Vattel declared that, ". . . People are not obliged to respect that title [the title of a claimant to a throne or a noble title] any farther than he shows its validity." (The Law of Nations, Book 2, chapter 18, no. 337) In fact, rights are forfeited where ". . . original validity . . . is impossible to prove. . . ." (D. H. N. Johnson, "Acquisitive Prescription in International Law," British Yearbook of International Law, vol. 27, 1950, p. 332) To maintain rights, a deposed royal house or exiled government must be able to ". . . establish its own legitimate rights by conclusive proof." (Pasquale Fiore, International Law Codified and its Legal Sanction: or, The Legal Sanction, 1919, p. 429.) (emphasis added)
(4) Feudal Titles:
The sale of English, Welsh and Irish "feudal" titles created by the United Kingdom in ancient times are illegal by virtue of a lawful and sovereign act of Parliament (both in England and Ireland in the 17th Century) which has been supported by case law ever since. Being legally abolished, these non-entities cannot be considered to be valid, because legally and lawfully these titles no longer exist. This ancient law has never been rescinded and is still binding. It does not have any impact on honorifics made by Letters Patent from the Crown. However, some Scottish Feudal Baronies can be legally bought and sold and be recognized by the Lyons Court of Scotland as valid if done right.
(5) Changing One's Name and Adding a Title:
The act of legally changing one's name to add a title by deed poll or some other unscrupulous method does not create a legitimate or authentic title. This is nothing less than make-believe or phoniness.
(6) Adoptions and Marriages:
Legal adoptions or marriages into a noble or royal German or Austrian family does not give that person a true / authentic title. It is merely a "name change," unless the head of the family, if that person still has de jure sovereign authority, has officially and openly sanctioned and approved of it. (See the following on the law that makes a deposed sovereign still sovereign: " DEPOSED SOVEREIGNTY AND ROYALTY: how to preserve it and how to lose it" at http://www.nobility-royalty.org/the_sovereign_rights_of_deposed_kings__monarchs_and_sovereign_princes.htm)
(7) Buying Land:
Buying a portion of feudal land, rarely, if ever, gives one the right to an ancient title, especially in England or Ireland where feudal titles have been eliminated and are null and void -- legally nonentities since the 17th Century. Nor is it an acceptable practice to buy a small portion of shared land (i.e. a square foot as advertised on some websites) in Scotland or somewhere else and expect to legitimately become a Laird or Baron of this land along with hundreds of others. This is obviously a money-making scheme designed to rip people off and is unacceptable and has no legal or honest validity.
(8) Legalizing a Fantasy:
Neither a legal land registry, land certificate or a statutory declaration with an apostille (a fancy international notarization attached) from Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State can make a pretend title somehow valid and legitimate. Yet this kind of nonsense was used and has been advertised as a way to legitimize a title on the internet.
(9) Ecclesiastical Titles and Knighthoods:
Titles or knighthoods created by churches or commoners or ordinary people are not sovereign or noble titles. They are a fabrications or imitations and those who do this are con artists. Unless a title, knighthood or order is created by a de jure or reigning sovereign, it must be rejected. (Please note that the Catholic Pope is different from all other ecclesiastical dignitaries. He has internationally recognized sovereignty, recognized by the United Nations over a territory or independent state.)
(10) Titles of Nobility from a Bogus Order of Chivalry:
Another despicable scam that is being perpetuated is obtaining a title from a bogus order of knighthood that possesses neither true knighthood or true sovereignty. Therefore its titles are worthless and without substance. Fake princes can only create falsehoods and illusions.
(11) Imperial Byzantine Titles and Knighthoods:
Titles from the so-called Byzantine Empire are counterfeit. This is because the last known heir to the Byzantine Throne sold all his Imperial rights to the French crown in 1494. There are over six so-called Imperial Byzantine claimants none of which are authentic. Anyone who has received a title or knighthood from any of these individuals received a fairy tale --- not something genuine or authentic. (See for more information on this: " Sovereignty in the Holy Roman and Byzantine Empires" at http://www.nobility-royalty.org/id91.htm)
(12) Micro-nations and phony governments in exile:
Imaginary micro-nations and governments in exile are often created as kingdoms, principalities or dukedoms. They do not have real sovereignty, therefore, their titles are merely fantasy or make believe. True titles are built on what is real.
(13) Legal Gimmicks:
Recently, a new trick or legal gimmick (might be a bribe) has emerge where you can take a vacant, extinct, unused or straight-out phony or fictitious title and have a European court recognize that it is your title and thereby, by magic, somehow, it is supposed to make it genuine. This, of course, is a scam—an act of deception and deceit. It is just another fraudulent game being played or used to make a falsehood look like it is real and authentic. Bearing such a phony title cannot be anything other than what it is, a fake or counterfeit made to look like it is something honest and unadulterated. Remember that only a living and true sovereign has the right to create a legal or public title or knighthood, not a domestic court of law.
(14) Lord of the Manor sales:
"Lord of the Manor" scams are prevalent. There were at one time over 9,000 manors in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in feudal times. English law recognizes that these titles are lawful property or "incorporeal hereditaments," but since no one seems to own them, myriads of crooks have unlawfully assumed out of the clear blue sky the right to sell them as many as they can for prices as low as $150.00. This is completely bogus. Some admit that their justification for this fabrication or hogwash is that English law states that if you own real or incorporeal property for ten years that your title to it is absolute. But if the seller didn't own it in the first place, then the whole deal is a lie and without any foundation in truth or reality.
(15) Private Titles and Decorations should not be used in Public:
There are real titles, held by " public international persons," --- the true de jure sovereigns, and those that hold titles and knighthoods under their authority, and then there are private made-up titles in private organizations of whatever name. Private titles, knighthoods and con-decorations received in a club, fraternity, church or other organization are not to be used in public or on the internet unless qualified as private. (See: " Orders of Chivalry") Such made-up titles, knighthoods and con-decorations are not genuine and authentic, outside of the organizations that made them, because they have nothing to do with the bona fide and real nobility or royalty of the earth. True sovereigns did not create them. They are self-styled, fabricated or manufactured fantasy. Therefore can only be used privately.
The point is, anyone can call themselves whatever they want, be that a count or a king, but to do so in public is obviously wrong or dishonest. It would be dishonorable. Such would constitute disinformation and deception. It would be to misrepresent oneself, to impersonate or present a false and wrongful front. It would be similar to the man who tells everyone he holds a Ph.D. degree in some important subject when the degree was purchased or awarded by a diploma mill --- a fictitious or fake university.
A true royal or noble title, on the other hand, which is based on unquestionable sovereignty, should be used publicly as an extension of one's name. In fact, in order to maintain one's rights and the rights of one's heirs and successors, such titles must be used. This is a well-established principle in international law as the most basic and most required diplomatic protest to keep de jure royal, sovereign and noble prerogatives alive. (See: " DEPOSED SOVEREIGNTY AND ROYALTY: how to preserve it and how to lose it" at http://www.nobility-royalty.org/the_sovereign_rights_of_deposed_kings__monarchs_and_sovereign_princes.htm)
The point is, " [Both de jure and regnant or reigning] princes of sovereign houses are public international persons. . . ." (See: " Dynastic Law" at http://www.nobility-royalty.org/id70.htm) Their titles are public and can be rightfully used anywhere on earth where it is legally and lawfully allowed. Private titles, obviously, should only be used within the context of the private organization that gave it and not on the internet or anywhere else without explaining that they are not genuine or real, but private titles only.
None of the above deceptions or schemes provide what is legitimate. They should be shunned and avoided. It is a underhanded and shady business. Do not get involved in any of the above scams or counterfeits. The International Commission was created to promote only what is actual and true. Everything must be built on solid truth or undeniable evidence that can be confirmed and verified as accurate, authentic and true. Otherwise, it cannot be supported. (See " Title of Nobility Scams")
